and other funding opportunities

Public, private, or faith-based nonprofit organizations as well as local or state agencies can become an AmeriCorps VISTA project sponsor. Founded in 1965, Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is an anti-poverty program designed to provide needed resources to nonprofit organizations and public agencies to increase their capacity to lift communities out of poverty.

Other Resources 

Pajama Program Community Partners are primarily nonprofit organizations that work with children and families experiencing uncertainty in their lives. They include group homes, foster care agencies, shelters, Head Start programs, and schools.
